Director of Water Efficiency

Will JerniganWill Jernigan is an industry expert in Water Loss Control and Revenue Recovery. Will is active in the leadership of the American Water Works Association Water Loss Control Committee (WLCC), developing best-practice tools for the water industry, and was recently appointed to the Chair of the subcommittee for the Free Water Audit Software. He is also a Member of the Management Committee for the International Water Association (IWA) Water Loss Specialist Group. Will presently serves as Vice Chair and Secretary for the AWWA WLCC and Chair for the Georgia AWWA Water Loss Control Committee.  Will is also the Program Manager for a groundbreaking statewide water loss technical assistance program in Georgia since 2012, teaching and training over 200 water utilities in the state on water efficiency practices. Since that time, Will has designed and implemented multiple Water Efficiency training programs educating communities on the M36 Water Audit Methodology, improving data validation, and providing best practices for targeting Non-Revenue Water in many pilot and statewide programs throughout the nation.

This includes the nation’s largest statewide water loss technical assistance program launched in 2016 in California, known as the Water Loss Control Collaborative. Will is a professional engineer licensed in multiple states.

Will is a dynamic speaker who has presented as an expert in the field of Non-Revenue Water at regional, national and international conferences across the world.
