Cavanaugh is working with Pack Square Conservancy to change the face of Downtown Asheville. The project involves a “facelift” of the area known as “Pack Square”. The civil/site design project includes grading, stormwater and erosion control and utility plans for the new area.

There are more than 16 professional firms involved in the re-designing of Pack Square with construction planned for September 2005. The project includes a large amphitheater, new pavilion, additional walking paths around Pack Square and several small stages for downtown concerts and events.
