Cavanaugh & Associates, P.A. Announces Its New Community Outreach Program

Cavanaugh & Associates, P.A. has maintained a tradition of building stronger communities in the places where it conducts business. Whether it is through the work we perform to improve the infrastructure of communities or through the volunteer efforts of our employees serving various charitable organizations, Cavanaugh’s associates leave an indelible imprint that is a testament to their passion for making life better.

Cavanaugh & Associates remains solidly committed to creating a legacy of giving back to its communities. That’s why Cavanaugh recently formed a Community Outreach Committee to oversee its charitable contributions and to foster a philanthropic spirit by supporting the causes that matter to our associates.

“We want to send a message to our employees, clients and non-profit organizations within our community that we care about our communities and take our corporate responsibility very seriously,” said Steve Cavanaugh. “Our mission is to celebrate and enhance the welfare and prosperity of the communities where we live and work.”

The 2007 Committee has developed a program and guidelines for its charitable contributions. Associates or charitable organizations may complete a grant request and committee members will review each written request and determine if the application will be funded.

There are four vehicles that the committee is guiding:

One 4 One Matching Funds Program – Cavanaugh & Associates endorses employee involvement in charities of their choice and will match dollar for dollar contributions made by an associate up to $100 in a calendar year.

Direct Charitable Contributions – Financial contributions of varying amounts can be granted to assist in financial hardships, educational support and organizational leadership.

PTO for Charity – Associates may be reimbursed up to 12 hours per year for time taken off to participate in charitable organizations or functions during business hours.

Scholarship program – Still in the “design” stage, the committee is crafting the guidelines and parameters for a scholarship program to be unveiled later in the year.

The Community Outreach Committee meets to review all requests the last week of every month. Committee members include the following Cavanaugh employees: Marvin Cavanaugh, Chairman, Lisa Alley, Administrator, Steve Cavanaugh, Faith Hill, Jimmy Holland, Will Jernigan and Bryan Odom.
“As our company mission statement says, our higher purpose is to make a positive difference for those we touch, provide a quality work experience for our associates, and assist our team in its journey of success and significance,” said Cavanaugh.
