Cavanaugh is responsible for the study and design for a new grease receiving station. The Program is working in cooperation with Spartanburg Water System/Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District (SWS-SSSD) and Clemson University to develop a beneficial reuse program for grease and septage.

Cavanaugh is developing a design for a septage/grease station to meet the needs of local contract haulers and SSSD operations. Clemson University is working to develop a septage/grease co-mingling formula that will result in the receipt, treatment, and beneficial reuse of all septage/grease in the SSSD system.
