Bruce Foods Equalization Basin

Cavanaugh was responsible for designing a flow equalization basin in advance of the wastewater treatment facility for the Wilson, NC sweet potato processing facility.  The project included site design, volume calculations, grading plans, permit approval assistance, and erosion control measures.

Solid Set Irrigation System

Cavanaugh provided design and permitting assistance for the construction and renovation of approximately 25 acres of spray irrigation system for treated effluent disposal.

Impoundment Modification

Cavanaugh designed and assisted with the permitting of an approximately 13 million gallon treated effluent storage pond for the sweet potato processing facility. The project included piping and pump station improvements to serve the new impoundment, as well as grading, site planning, and erosion control design.

 

Bruce Foods Pump Station

Cavanaugh completed the design of a replacement Influent Pump Station for Bruce Foods Corporation. The Influent Pump Station Design was based on a total daily flow of 150,000 gallons and was based on the specific characteristic wastewater produced by Bruce Foods Corporation which has large organic solids and a high specific gravity caused by the abundance of soil particles and sediment associated with wastewater.
