Waterline Extension

Cavanaugh designed 34,000 LF of new waterlines ranging in size from 4” to 16” diameter. The Regional Water Authority of Asheville, Buncombe, and Henderson commissioned this project, as part of its program to upgrade water service in the Asheville area.

The City received funding for this project, which required the plans to be completed in a short time span. Cavanaugh conducted monthly meetings with the Authority’s engineers to assure careful coordination so that the design was completed ahead of schedule to meet the funding requirements. Cavanaugh also provided the construction administration and inspection for the installation of the waterlines.
