Every year,  ACEC/NC accepts nominations from its member firms for Client Recognition Awards.  The purpose of this program is to recognize clients that have exemplary relationships with the member firms and are suppostive of the ideals of ACEC/NC including:

• Using qualification-based selection of engineering services
• Negotiating contract terms fairly
• Fostering a partnering relationship between client and engineer
• Paying invoices in accordance with their contract
• Involving the engineer with the construction phase of their projects

Each year eight public-sector clients receive reconition awards.  Cavanaugh nominated the Town of Surf City for this honor based on our continued partnership with the Town.  On April 17th, this year's recipients, including the Town of Surf City, were honored at the ACEC/NC Client Recognition Awards Banquet in Raleigh, NC.
