| In October 2006, Cavanaugh opened the doors to a new Raleigh Office. Located on Wade Avenue in the historic Occidental Insurance Company Building near Cameron Village, we are building a new sense of community. The establishment of an office in Raleigh not only allows us to provide services to the Triangle and surrounding area, but also provides for the needs of our associates that wish to live and work in the Triangle area.
In 1996, Cavanaugh & Associates merged with J. Fred Davis & Associates, a small engineering near downtown Raleigh. As an undergraduate student at NC State University, Steve Cavanaugh was employed as a part-time civil/site intern by Fred Davis. In 2001, Cavanaugh temporarily closed the doors to the Raleigh office with the retirement of Joe Hardee, PE.
