On October 5, 2007, Cavanaugh & Associates, P.A. moved to the new Trader's Row Building located on Trade Street in Winston-Salem's Downtown Arts District. The long-awaited move signifies a major step for Cavanaugh as owner of the office condominium. The building itself will house Cavanaugh, Walter Robbs Callahan & Pierce, an architectural firm, ISP Sports as well as 16 residential condos and retail and restaurant space. Located in the Downtown Arts District of Winston-Salem, Cavanaugh becomes part of a thriving, creative community.
The Cavanaugh office is located on the third floor of the new building. This third floor space is the first LEED certified office space in Forsyth County. This meant that the contractor, Frank L. Blum Construction Company and all subcontractors had to pay special attention to materials used in construction as well as the environmental conditions of the space during construction. In the near future, tours of the third floor highlighting the special LEED aspects of the space will be available to educate others on the benefits of a "green office".
In the spirit of creating a positive work space, Cavanaugh is providing an improved working environment for their associates by providing new office furniture, plenty of open space for team meetings and lots of natural light throughout the office. “The move to an environmentally friendly office gives the Winston arm of our Cavanaugh family a quality environment that will further the positive team experience of our “work.” It is gratifying to know that the health of our team will simultaneously improve as we are making a significant positive statement as a steward of our environment” says Steve Cavanaugh, President. |
